Jewish Care first began in Berlin in the house of David Cohen (Sattler) in the night that  marks the actual  beginning  of  the  Holocaust in Berlin The Night of Broken Glass (Kristallnacht) occurred on November 9 1938 after 17-year-old Herschel Grynszpan shot and killed Ernst vom Rath, a German embassy official in Paris, in retaliation for the harsh treatment his Jewish parents had received from Nazis.

Jewish Care philosophy was simple: connect one Jew who wants to help, with one Jewish child who needs help
The magnitude of the world’s problems poverty war, natural disasters and other dangers faced by Jewish children –are too great for one single Jew to combat. Yet our 70-year-old philosophy, “one sponsor, one child,” has allowed  rescued Jewish people to collectively  improve the  lives  of our Jewish  children .

Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Syria vented its rage by burning synagogues and forbidding Jews from leaving the country.
